Taṇhā cessation

The third noble truth teaches that the cessation of taṇhā is possible.

Bhikkhus, there is a noble truth about the cessation of suffering. It is the complete fading away and cessation of this craving; its abandonment and relinquishment; getting free from and being independent of it.”[27]

Cessation is possible by following the Noble Eightfold Path.

Within this path, contemplating the impermanent nature of all things is regarded as a specific antidote to taṇhā.
